Webtoon ‘We Broke Up’ OST Part 2 Is Released

[by Sora Ghim] While web drama ‘We Broke Up’ is garnering attention for its casting of YG’s Sandara Park and Kang Seung Yoon, part 2 of the OST for the webtoon has been released on April 10.

Following Part 1 which was sung by Eun Ga Eun, who received attention for her version of ‘Let it go’ on SBS ‘Star King,’ the second part of the soundtrack features Weekend Diary. Receiving popularity for its fun and interesting plot, Ryu Chae Rin’s comic consistently received high ratings from the beginning.

In addition, this webtoon’s OST will be released in a series unlike other webtoon OSTs. It plans on releasing a track one by one to match the perspective of the webtoon’s episode and emerging characters.

This new track is sung by Weekend Diary and takes its title from the male protagonist’s band in the comic. The main point of the song is its vintage simple sound that makes it seem like you are actually watching an indie band perform live.

Meanwhile, as the story continues deeper into the plot, ‘We Broke Up’ OST Part 2 is available on all music sites. (photo by Duzon Media Works)

1. [+1,097, -56] So basically a drama produced by YG with only YG artists

2. [+882, -22] They keep putting Dara in acting lately?

3. [+672, -45] No matter how young Sandara Park looks, there's still a 10 year age difference between the two. I wonder if it can be pulled off?

4. [+585, -60] Kang Seung Yoon's acting was good in 'High Kick' ㅋㅋ Looking forward to it

5. [+404, -23] Just comeback with music instead.. gogo

6. [+129, -9] I think web dramas are a great opportunity to get experience without getting hate since only the people interested can watch

7. [+121, -9] Kang Seung Yoon seems to fit the Won Young character quite well!! looking forward to it

8. [+115, -10] In the webtoon this drama is based off of, people were commenting asking for no idols in the casting but I guess they're going through with it. But Kang Seung Yoon did fine in 'High Kick' so I think he'll fit the role.

9. [+108, -9] I read the webtoon and Kang Seung Yoon fits his character quite well but Sandara is the complete opposite of the female lead... Dara has a nice and innocent image while the webtoon lead seriously gave me cancer with her personality

SANDARA PARK AND KANG SEUNGYOON CONFIRMED TO PLAY LEAD ROLES AS COUPLE ON 'WE BROKE UP' WEB DRAMA

"Ji Won Young is an aspiring musician and the lead singer of a band while No Woo Ri works at a fashion company.  The two met at one of Won Young's gigs and their relationship blossomed. Soon, they agreed to live together.  Things got complicated when they both decided to break up.

Due to complications with the security deposit and the loan on the apartment, the two have no choice but to keep living together as roommates until the contract is up and when they're financially able to leave..."

Sandara Park as Noh Woo Ri
Kang Seungyoon as Ji Won Young

Jang Ki Yong as Seo Hyun Woo
"Seo Hyun Woo works in the same fashion company as Noh Woo Ri. (*In the web comic. In the web drama version, Seo Hyun Woo plays a vocalist in a band rivalling Won Young's.)  He has a delicate personality and an interest in Woori."

1. [+668, -38]  Looks like it's a project made by YG using YG artists.

2. [+554, -15]  They're letting Dara act continuously these days, huh?

3. [+416, -33]  It's a better casting than 'Orange Marmalade'.  No matter how much of a babyface Dara is though, the age gap between them is 10 years... will it be alright?

4. [+385, -37]  Kang Seungyoon's acting was pretty good on High Kick ㅋㅋㅋ I'm anticipating this ㅋㅋ

5. [+256, -13]  Just let them make a comeback... through music.

6. [+81, 0]  Heol, why are they being like this among family members?

7. [+78, -3]  Kang Seungyoon is a perfect fit for the character Won Young!  Can't wait

8. [+75, -3]  Heol... all the best comments on the web comic's page asked the writer not to cast idols but I guess they are... At least Kang Seungyoon did well on High Kick plus he does seem to fit the character since he plays the guitar and sings as well...

9. [+69, -4]  This is really good... Web dramas aren't as burdensome and it's great to gain experience from.  They won't get as much hate for it too since only the people who want to watch it will watch it.

10. [+62, -3]  Heol... can't wait for Kang Seungyoon!

11. [+66, -4]  I've read the web comic and Kang Seungyoon fits as the lead guy.  However, Sandara is the complete opposite of the lead girl... Dara has a kind, gentle image and the web comic's leading female has such a temperamental overacting personality

12. [+59, -4]  Kang Seungyoon and Sandara match well... and Seungyoon seems to act well! I can't wait for this

13. [+56, -2]  Looks like it'll be good.  I'm anticipating their acting and I hope Seungyoon gets to sing a lot since his character's the lead in a band ㅎㅎ

14. [+57, -3]  I believe Seungyoon will do well since he was great on High Kick.  Fighting

15. [+55, -2]  I've read the web comic and it's really entertaining. I think the two will do great.  The casting's amazing as they totally fit with the web comic's image ㅋ.... Guess they're taking on a noona-dongsaeng couple relationship ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

16. [+56, -5]  The characters' casting is a perfect fit.  I'll be anticipating the chemistry between them
